Beijing: Two people are injured and another nine are missing following an explosion in a chemical plant in east China's Shandong Province on Wednesday, local authorities said.
The blast occurred on Wednesday in a workshop at Tianbao Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. in Pingyi County, Linyi City, (Xinhua) news agency reported.
The official website of the company showed that Tianbao Chemical, founded in 1958, is a manufacturer of explosive materials for civil use.
The cause of the blast is being investigated.
