DOHA: Automation Conference 2012, is set to be held in December in Doha, organized by the Qatar chapter of International Society of Automation (ISA), a global organisation involved in developing of automation standards for various industries.
The two-day conference will bring together 300 delegates within and out side Qatar on December 9, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha.
“The Conference will feature 16 technical presentations by various experts around the world on cyber security of industrial control system, plant safety and shutdown system requirements, advance process control technologies and process control system integration,” Nilangshu Dey, President, ISA, Qatar Section, Vice Chairman, Conference Organising Committee said at press conference held yesterday at Radisson Blu Hotel.
The conference is a regional event of ISA of Europe, Middle East and Africa region being held for first time in a GCC country. This conference is jointly organised by 18 Country ISA Sections from Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The various automation specialists from oil and gas and petrochemical operating companies, consultants, automation vendors and service providers from mostly all European and GCC countries will present their latest technological developments in the process automation field.
The conference will conduct an exhibition by 12 automation vendors exhibiting their latest technological developments in automation. A large number of overseas delegates from France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Ireland, UK, USA, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and a few African countries are expected to participate. Around 200 local delegates from local companies too are expected to attend the event. ISA develops industry standards, certifies industry professionals; provides education and training; publishes books and technical articles and hosts conferences and exhibitions for automation professionals worldwide having more than 30,000 members and 300,000 associates worldwide since more than six decades.
ISA with its headquarters at North Carolina, USA, is supported by over 75 sections in various countries worldwide.
