Emir receives call from Emir of Kuwait

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received yesterday a telephone call from the Emir of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. Their talks dealt with bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.

Justice Minister extends term  of official

 
Doha: The Minister of Justice H E Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi has issued a decision renewing the assignment of the director of the Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Ministry. The decision stipulated that the assignment of Mariam Yousef Arab as director of the centre is renewed for six months, effective from November 16.

Qatar Airways to fly to Edinburgh from May 28

 
DOHA: Qatar Airways announced that it would begin flights to the Scottish capital of Edinburgh from May 28, 2014, operating five flights weekly. 
The new route will be served by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner in a two-cabin configuration, offering passengers 22 Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats.
Edinburgh Airport will be the airline’s third destination in the United Kingdom preceded by London in 1997 and Manchester in 2003. The airline currently operates flights to the UK’s London Heathrow with five flights per day while flying 10 times per week to Manchester Airport.  
In 2013, Qatar Airways has launched eleven destinations to date – Gassim (Saudi Arabia), Najaf (Iraq), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Chicago (USA), Salalah (Oman), Basra (Iraq), Sulaymaniyah (Iraq), Chengdu (China), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Ta’if (Saudi Arabia) and most recently Clark Manila International Airport (Philippines). Over the next few weeks and months, the network will grow further with Hangzhou, China, Sharjah and Dubai World Central, Philadelphia and Miami in the USA.

Doha: Qatar Airways Board of Directors  has  decided to offer special privileges for Qatari  newspapers published in Arabic and English languages by transporting them outside the country on a daily basis.
