DOHA: The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) and Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) are conducting an online survey among Qataris and expatriates from today on practice of sports in Qatar.
The survey conducted through a questionnaire aims to measure public opinion on practicing different sport activities in the community.
Nationals and residents are invited to participate in the survey through MDPS website: www.mdps.gov.qa or QOC webpage: www.olympic.qa.
The two organisations continue to track public participation in different types of sports and give a broad overview on physical fitness and leisure activities in the country.
The questionnaire, which is made available at this time every year, is issued to seek the views of the general public and identify level of participants engaged in sport and physical activities, identify key trends in sports, fitness and recreation participation by age groups, individuals’ spending on sports, favorite sports facilities/times for exercising sports as well as identifying the level of participation in Qatar’s National Sports Day in the previous years.
The survey result will be announced during the National Sports Day celebrations on February 10 next year.
The MDPS and QOC has called upon all nationals and expatriates to actively participate in this survey which will help accurately identify the services and sport activities needed by the community, contribute to expanding the community engagement and achieve the goals of Qatar National Sport Day.
