DOHA: A newly-developed real estate-based smart technology “Rinfo”, launched by the Qatar Business Incubation Centre (QBIC), has evoked an overwhelming response.
In less than two weeks since the launch of the mobile application, developed by two young Qatari graduates, has connected over 600 property seekers with real estate agencies free of cost.
“Since its launch on February 9, more than 1,000 people have downloaded the app. The groundbreaking smart technology (Rinfo) has so far assisted more than 600 property seekers by connecting them with real estate agencies directly for free,” said Saud Aldolaimi, Operations Manager and Co-founder of Rinfo mobile app, adding, “This number is growing fast as we speak now.”
Rinfo is a real estate mobile App that provides two important services to its users. First, it allows to find out properties easily in a very short time. Second, it provides users with updated news about the real estate market in Qatar. The app is free for users, which can be downloaded from App Store for iOS and Play Store for Android-based phone users.
Sharing about the journey of the technology and its development with The Peninsula, Aldolaimi said: “Nearly two years ago, Abdulahmeed Alyousef, Founder and Managing Director of Rinfo, was looking for a property which took him very long time and effort. He realised that many other people must be facing the same hassle in finding desired property in Qatar or elsewhere. So as the saying goes ‘if you can’t find a way, you create a way’, and eventually he came up with Rinfo right away.”
Aldolaimi added that after developing the first version of the App, Alyousef showed it to him seeking his opinion, being a best friend.
“I found it very useful. Seeing the big potential, I immediately decided to join the journey. This is how we became the founder and the co-founder of Rinfo.”
The app, as of now, does not have option of listing of properties. It only allows users to send a property request to all real estate agencies. The agency gets back to the user instantly, and the user gets updated information.
“At the moment we are working with 10 key real estate companies, and many others are already in discussion to join. There will be some updates to the app soon, and we will add more valuable services to users and agencies. I am sure this is going to emerge as the leading app in real estate market in the GCC and other countries,” he said.
He further said that eventually more agencies will be feeding this app with the latest news from the market which will add value to the app and the users will benefit from it by knowing the average prices in the market.
Providing more information about the product, he said that it took nearly 18 months to develop the product.
“QBIC is the most effective business incubation centre in the region. It supported us during the last five months of our project,” he said.
Alyousef holds Media and Communication degree from Qatar University. Currently he works with Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) as a Senior Business Development Manager. Before jointing CBQ, he worked for several other organisations, including Aljazeera television as News Director and a Presenter.
While Aldolaimi is an entrepreneur who earned an Electrical Engineering degree from the UK. He has over seven years of working experience as project manager in a couple of major projects in Qatar.
