Indian Association of Bihar and Jharkhand (IABJ) celebrated “Bihar and Jharkhand Diwas’ recently at Al Maha Academy Doha.
Dinesh Udaniya, First Secretory of Indian Embassy in Qatar, was the Chief Guest and Sabih Bukhari, GM, Satco International, was the Guest of Honour. R K Singh, Indian Embassy, Syed Abdul Hai and Nilanshu De from Qatar Petroleum were also present. IABJ President, Faruque Ahmad, welcomed the guests, while IABJ General Secretory, Syed Alim Akhtar, presented the yearly report. A fancy dress competition was held for kids below 9 years of age. Winners of various contests organised by IABJ were presented prizes. The chief guest launched the Unnati magazine published by IABJ. Singing Bird Musical Group entertained the guests with many popular songs and event coordinator Jawaid Alam Siddiqui presented a Bollywood song.
Ghufran Mohammad, picked “Man of IABJ”, was presented a trophy for his outstanding work for IABJ. A magic show by Jemshu was organised to entertain the kids. The event was hosted by Afroz Dawar, Hamid Raza, Shabana Khan and Ghufran Mohammad.
