Birla Public School holds online orientation programme for primary 1

Doha: Birla Public School (BPS) has held a orientation programme for primary 1. It was held online owing to the present crisis with the participation of all grade I and II parents, students and teachers. 

The commencement of the event was marked by  A P Sharma, Principal started with Ramadan Kareem wishes extended to all attendees. 

He acknowledged efforts of parents, students and teachers for the last academic year 2020-21 which was concluded in the pandemic circumstances, a new startup for the academic year 2021-22 with an encouraging positive and healthy approach. 

BPS is prepared with well-equipped classrooms, enthusiastic educators, happy minds and sustained hygiene. Rajesh Pillai Vice Principal (Co-Scholastic) appreciated the primary 1 team and gave his best wishes for the new academic year.

Shruti, Headmistress primary 1, spoke about the curriculum to be followed during academic year. She expressed her gratitude for all the parents for their constant support. 

Counsellor Michelle spoke about students enhancement in multiple areas such as routine, playtime, sleep time (10 hrs) and resting time. 

She even emphasised students to give responsibilities like house chores which will keep them engrossed and this will even reduce their screening time. 

Michelle highlighted that earning at home should be promoted in a creative way where students should feel education is fun. 

Zoom etiquette was a very important agenda in the orientation and even off-screen time which is given in intervals of class where students can give rest to their eyes.
