Doha, Qatar: A new premium Qatari hospitality brand, The Torch Hospitality, was officially launched yesterday during a press conference held at The Torch Doha.
The event also marked the opening of the Torch Club on the 50th and 51st floors of The Torch Doha, which has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the World’s Highest Gym in a Building.
In his address, Wael Al Sharif, Area General Manager of The Torch Hospitality, expressed pride in this significant milestone and highlighted the company’s commitment to both local and global expansion. He stated, “Today, we celebrate not just the launch of a hospitality brand, but the realisation of a vision deeply rooted in Qatari excellence. The Torch Hospitality is committed to expanding its presence both locally and regionally, with experiences designed to meet global expectations while honouring local authenticity. With the Torch Club, we are proud to elevate well-being, literally and figuratively, to unprecedented heights.”
Abdulla Nasser Al-Naemi, Acting CEO of Aspire Zone Foundation and Director General of Aspire Logistics, said, “At Aspire Zone Foundation, we are pleased to be part of this special occasion marking the launch of a new brand in the hospitality sector. This brand carries a bold vision and embodies the highest standards of quality and excellence. We believe this step will enrich the hospitality experience both locally and regionally. It also reflects our commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance Qatar’s position as a leading destination.”
Kinzi Al Difrawy, an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records who travelled from the UAE to announce the outcome, explained, “This is a new record title, so there is no previous or current holder for this record.” After thoroughly inspecting and verifying compliance with all Guinness World Records requirements, Al Difrawy confirmed the Torch Club as the World’s Highest Gym in a Building, standing at a remarkable height of 247 meters.
Located at a high elevation, the gym offers guests a 360-degree view of Doha and features top-tier equipment from Technogym.
The Torch Hospitality’s portfolio includes The Torch Doha — the flagship hotel and iconic tower of Aspire Zone; Al Aziziyah Boutique Hotel, a Victorian-inspired peaceful retreat nestled within Aspire Park; Mina Hotel & Residences, offering coastal sophistication blended with heritage at Old Doha Port; and 21 High Street Residence, a refined serviced residence located in Katara’s luxury district.
