Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from President of the Syrian Arab Republic HE President Ahmed Al-Sharaa.
During the call, they reviewed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to support and develop them. The pair also discussed the most prominent regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East.
In this regard, HE the Syrian President praised the State of Qatar's role and efforts in de-escalating tensions and strengthening regional and international security.
Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to reduce tensions, prioritize political solutions and dialogue, and contribute to consolidating stability in the region in a matter which would spare its peoples further turmoil, promote the settlement of disputes through diplomatic means, and lead to a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace.
