DOHA: Weather forecasters have warned that the morning would be foggy today so motorists must take extreme precaution while driving, particularly on express highways and while negotiating long distances.
Visibility can be quite low early this morning, the forecasters said adding that it could worsen to as low as less than 2km at places during the early hours and would later improve to between 5km and 10km. The problem is likely to subside as the Sun starts to shine brighter.
The day could be partially cloudy today, according to the forecasters, and as the direction of the wind changes from north-easterly to north-westerly the air could be a bit chilly with speeds raging between three and 12 knots an hour. As for the state of the sea, no warning has been issued and the forecast for today suggests that waves could rise only a foot or up to three at places.
Day temperatures (maximum) are likely to range between 23 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees depending on places. Dukhan and Ruwais would be cooler in the day than other places with maximum temperature forecast being 23 degrees Celsius. Abu Samra would be a bit hotter with the maximum temperature forecast for today being 27 degrees Celsius. In Doha, the maximum temperature that has been forecast is 26 degrees Celsius. In Al Khor, Al Wakra and Mesaeed, the maximum temperature would be 24 degrees Celsius. As for the night, the mercury could dip to as low as 15 degrees Celsius in Abu Samra, but in Doha the minimum temperature forecast is 19 degrees Celsius which means that it wouldn’t be as cold as Abu Samra.
