A last minute goal from Alexandre Stephane  helped PSG defeated Real Madrid 2-1 while Eintracht Frankfurt trounced AS Roma 3-0 in the league group matches of the Al Kass Cup International Under-17 r tournament at Aspire Zone yesterday.
The match between, the French and Spanish giants seemed heading for a draw until the magnificent strike by Alex gave the Parisian club full points.
Real Madrid struck with six minutes to go for the first half. Antonio Manuel putting his team ahead with a goal.
PSG fought back and equalised in the 73rd minute with Yaisien having his name on the scorecard and Alex made sure PSG made sure they had full points with a late strike at the stroke of full time play.
In the first match of the day, a brace from William Kabuya helped German club Eintracht Frankfurt to register a 3-0 win over AS Roma.
Kabuya opened his account and the teams’ in the very first minute of the match and added a second one in the 29th minute.
In between, the two goals from Kabuya, Cetin breoke through the AS Roma defence in the fifth minute.
The Italians failed to bounce back from the early goals and although they conceded three goals in the first half, they managed repulse the German attacks in the second half.
Kabuya of Eintracht Frankfurt won the man-of-the-match award for his twin strikes.
On Monday, Kashiwa Reysol produced a heroic performance to dump Bayern Munich out of Al Kass 2017 at the group stage, prevailing in a pulsating contest that had Aspire Zone fans on the edge of their seats throughout.
From the first whistle, it seemed that Bayern had learned from their mistakes in their previous defeat to Red Bull Salzburg. A higher defensive line and more width through the midfield allowed for the German side to have much more possession.
However, Reysol were quick to close down. Their high intensity approach meant that Munich had little time on the ball and were prone to mistakes, allowing for the Japanese to win easy throw-ins and latch on to rushed passes.
Bayern were first off the mark in the sixth minute. Midfielder Oliver Batista Meier gained possession following a stray pass and played the ball through to forward Franck Evina, whose powerful strike was too much for the keeper to save despite getting a touch.
A foul given deep in the Bayern half allowed for the German side to push high up field, looking to utilise their physical advantage. However, the seemingly insignificant free kick would turn the game on its head when Bayern captain Lars Mai played the ball back to the keeper. A momentary lapse in concentration from Michael Wagner saw the ball roll into the back of the net, much to the watching crowd’s disbelief.
Reysol got the second half underway, and were ahead within two minutes of the restart with a brilliant kick from Kaito Mori.
And, five minutes later Mori almost made it three, only to be denied at close range by the advancing Wagner, who did well to block.
Reysol quickly extended their advantage. Midfield fulcrum Takumi Onodera stole the ball on halfway and advanced before feeding Norihiro Syoda to his left, who took a touch before sliding the ball under the despairing Wagner to make it 3-1.
With 87 minutes on the clock, Evina was once again the man in the right place at the right time, heading home to make the score 3-2 and set up a frantic finale.
