Doha: Residents coming into Qatar who has obtained Covishield Vaccine in India are eligible for quarantine exemption, stated the Indian Embassy in Doha.
On its Twitter account, the embassy wrote, “Qatar authorities have confirmed that those who have obtained Covishield Vaccine in India are eligible for quarantine exemption at the time of entry into Qatar. Passengers should have obtained two-dose, completed 14 days after the second dose and carry the vaccine certificate.”
Covishield, the Oxford-AstraZenenca vaccine, is manufactured by The Serum Institute of India.
The Embassy also added that as per the new advisory by Qatar Authorities, with effect from April 25, passengers travelling to Qatar are required to carry a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test certificate from an accredited lab done within 72 hours of time of arrival.
