Doha, Qatar: Unsettled weather conditions featuring rain, thunder, and strong winds are expected to affect Qatar this weekend, stated the Qatar Meteorology Department.
In its latest update on social media, the department stated that, today, Thursday, April 23, 2026, will see thundery rain accompanied by strong winds and high seas with chances of scattered rain.
Daytime conditions will be relatively hot with blowing dust.
Winds will prevail from the northwesterly to northeasterly at 10–20 knots, with gusts reaching 30 knots at times and wave height ranging between 3ft and 6ft, rising to 9ft in some areas.
However, Friday and Saturday will remain relatively hot during the day with partly cloudy skies.
Temperatures for these two days will rise during the day, ranging between 25°C and 32°C.
Winds will blow from the northwesterly to northeasterly, ranging from 5 to 15 knots, gusting to 25 knots in some places during the daytime.
However, sea conditions will vary on Friday with wave heights ranging between 3-6 ft, increasing to 8 ft at times, while Saturday will experience moderate sea conditions with wave heights of 3-5 ft.
