Tripoli: Libyan authorities announced the rescue of ten boats carrying irregular migrants off the country's coast.

In a press release, the Libyan Red Crescent said that the boats were carrying 404 people of various nationalities who suffered under harsh conditions at sea off the Libyan coast.

Field sources reported that the migrants were transferred to disembarkation points, where they received first aid and urgent humanitarian assistance.

This was done in coordination with relevant authorities, including the Coast Guard, the Libyan Navy, and the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
