Doha: This year’s QSports Ramadan tournaments will be held in six different sports and will begin from June 7, organisers of the event said here yesterday.
The format builds on the success and popularity of the previous four years and this year includes a one-of-a-kind 3x3 basketball competition at the 01 Mall in Ain Khalid. This year’s event is open for both men and women. The men tournaments include indoor cricket, basketball, futsal, and outdoor 7-a-side mini-football, 3x3 basketball and volleyball while two tournaments will be held for women including basketball and volleyball.
Registrations are open to any amateur team and will be limited to the first 12 teams in each sport.
All games are to be played during the evening from 8:30pm to 1:00 am and with the tournaments being concluded before Eid-ul-Fitr.
Most of the tournaments will be held at the Al Jazeera Academy sports facilities in Abu Hamour while the 3x3 Basketball will be held inside the 01 Mall in Ain Khalid.
