Doha, Qatar: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a telephone call on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
At the beginning of the call, the UAE President expressed his condolences to His Highness the Amir for the accident that occurred at an industrial facility in Ras Laffan, offering his condolences to the families of the victims and wishing the injured a speedy recovery. He also affirmed the UAE's support and solidarity with the State of Qatar during this difficult time.
For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his sincere sentiments and brotherly solidarity, commending the UAE's stance and its support for Qatar.
The call also included a review of the close fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.
