DOHA: Banks in Qatar will pump over QR3bn to ATMs across the country to meet an increase in demand from customers during the Eid holidays, Al Sharq reported. ATMs would see a huge rush during the holidays, with remittances by expatriates to their home countries expected to increase manifold. Citizens and expatriates will require more currency to buy sacrificial animals, give Eid gifts and other expenses. Several banks have also announced plans to keep some of their branches open during the Eid holidays to serve the customers.
