DOHA: Alfardan Group’s Automotive Operations successfully participated at the recently concluded 24th World Congress of the International Traffic Medicine Association (ITMA) as Gold Sponsor, said a statement yesterday.
Alfardan Automobiles and Alfardan Premier Motors represented the Group at the Congress held from November 16 to November 18 by showcasing the conglomerate’s steadfast commitment to initiatives that aim to make a positive impact on society and help ensure the safety of the people.
In line with their presence at the event, Alfardan Group was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by the organisers for their valuable contribution, sponsorship and support of the Conference. The award was received by Fahad Alfardan, Executive Director of Alfardan Group. The certificate of appreciation was presented to Alfardan Group by Brig. Muhammad Abdullah Al Maliki, Secretary of the National Traffic Safety Committee and Chairman of the organising committee.

The ITMA Congress was held for the first time in the Middle East and was organised by the National Traffic Safety Committee, in collaboration with other relevant departments. It featured comprehensive discussions on different aspects of traffic medicine and traffic safety including integrated health care services, rescue services and security measures. The event also included forums on legal and educational programmes that were developed to be integrated into the traffic medicine system.
As part of their participation in the Congress, Alfardan Automobiles showcased the BMW 740Li model while Alfardan Premier Motors displayed the Jaguar XJ — two of the latest models from the luxury brands distributed by the automotive subsidiaries.
