The Next Generation School organised Annual Sport Day programme in line with the fourth annual Qatar National Sport Day celebrations.
The School CEO Shagufta Bakali presented the opening speech encouraging students to develop true sportsmanship spirit and emphasizing the importance of sports.
“We must understand that sports activities are as important as the academics. A balanced lifestyle can help us to be healthy individuals and become the leaders of tomorrow,” she said.
Students were grouped into four coloured teams — Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.
The programme started with a parade by the senior students. Sack race, Hurdle race, skipping race, relay race, tug of war, lemon spoon race and throw ball were the activities of the day.
