Baghdad--Two bomb blasts killed at least 10 people and wounded 30 others on the main street of a suburb of the Iraqi capital on Tuesday, security sources said.

At least one of the explosions in the Jisr Diyala neighbourhood on the southeastern edge of Baghdad was caused by a car bomb, an interior ministry source said.

Police said the blasts went off near a fire station and as a group of young men were leaving a nearby football ground.

Medical sources confirmed the death toll.

At least 32 people were killed in attacks in Baghdad on February 8 but the frequency of bombings in the capital has slowed this year following gains against the Islamic State jihadist group.
