MoCI launches 36 e-services to accelerate digital transformation

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) launched 36 new electronic services through its official website, as part of its ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation and enhance service efficiency, in line with the Ministry’s Strategy (2024–2030).

In a post on its X platform, yesterday the Ministry noted that the launch of new e-services is designed to simply the procedures and elevate service quality for beneficiaries, advancing the Ministry’s digital transformation agenda and reinforcing government efficiency.

The post revealed that the newly introduced services cover prize draw licensing which includes applying, amending, cancelling a prize draw license, and the submission of draw details.

It covers annual sales plan services, seasonal sales licensing, loyalty program licensing, and Scan and Win campaign licensing services which enable the users to submit applications and manage amendments or cancellations electronically.

The services also cover licensing for special offers, festival and initiative licensing services, promotional offer licensing, final clearance sale licensing services which includes the issuance, renewal, amendment, and cancellation of related licenses.

It further covers brokerage services which include applying, amending, renewal and cancellation of brokerage activity license. It also encompasses issuing, amending, cancelling and issuing a replacement broker card (lost or damaged).

The Ministry’s strategy 2024-2030 aims to accelerate the national economy and enhance the business environment in Qatar, achieving 100 percent digitalisation of all services and increasing the number of patents with an annual growth rate of 20 percent until 2030.

It represents an ambitious roadmap that supports Qatar’s sustainable development goals to achieve balanced and inclusive economic growth, aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and in line with the Third National Development Strategy (NDS3).

It focuses on enhancing and developing the commercial, investment and industrial sectors, which will embolden Qatar’s global competitiveness, encourage innovation and sustainability, and improve the quality and delivery of services.

This is underpinned by our on-going mandate to prioritise the protection of consumer rights according to the highest global standards.

The Ministry’s performance for last year shows the Trade Affairs sector witnessed notable progress.

Approximately 28,000 commercial registrations were issued in 2025, representing 57 percent growth compared to 2024.

In addition, 34,500 commercial licenses were issued, marking a 53 percent increase year-on-year. Sixteen auditors were registered, along with eight accounting firms and offices during last year.

The Single Window platform continued enhancing its services, with 26 services developed in 2025.

A total of 239,593 transactions were processed through the platform, 93% of which were submitted electronically, reflecting the effectiveness of digital transformation efforts. Customer satisfaction with the electronic submission service reached 95 percent in fourth quarter of 2025.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is working to strengthen economic diversification efforts and build a knowledge-based economy, as well as empower the private sector to be a key driver of sustainable economic growth in accordance with the national vision and NDS3, in pursuit of promoting a fair and competitive business climate and deepening the principles of transparency and equal opportunities in the market.
