DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Wednesday, adding 121.44 points (or 1.42 percent) to advance to 8,656.22 points from 8,534.78 on Tuesday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 7,154,866 from 7,377,201 on Tuesday and the value of shares decreased to QR278,350,058.11 from QR284,959,240.73 Tuesday.
Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 4.24 percent to QR169.80, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 2.48 percent to QR66.00,Doha Bank gained 1.91 percent to QR45.45 and Barwa Real Estate up by 1.86 percent to QR24.04.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.99 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added 0.99 points. The industrial sector gained 2.76 points while insurance sector rose 0.56 points. (QNA)
