Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour has warned the public against responding to requests to transfer money to personal bank accounts under the pretext of providing services or expediting procedures.

In a statement posted on social media, the Ministry stressed that all fees and payments related to its services are processed through official approved channels ending in mol.gov.qa.

The Ministry also urged the public not to share banking or personal information with any unofficial entity.

It advised users to verify the authenticity of any links they receive before clicking on them and to remain vigilant against messages or phone calls requesting urgent fund transfers.

The Ministry further warned against sharing verification codes, one-time passwords (OTP), or account passwords with anyone.

In cases of suspected fraud, the Ministry urged the public to end the call immediately and contact its hotline at 16505. Enquiries can also be submitted via email at info@mol.gov.qa.
