DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange index dropped slightly by 64.87 points (0.47 percent) when the bourse closed at 13,690.02 points Sunday.
The trading value however increased to QR 862.56 million from 599.48 million registered Sunday.
The trading volume increased to 11,122,387 shares from 7,933 transactions compared to 7,915,073 shares from 5,673 transactions on Sunday.
Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone today except telecommunications sector index which gained 1.54 percent to 1,510.61 points.
Insurance sector declined the most, down 1.38 percent to 4,048.47 points.
From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 saw trading today. From these 28 dropped, eight advanced and five remained unchanged.
Ooredoo share gained 2.44 percent when it closed at QR 121.90, up by QR 2.90. Vodafone Qatar dropped 1.06 percent to QR 18.60. (QNA)
