Public Relations Regional Conference from April 7

DOHA: The third Public Relations Regional Conference will be held from April 7 to 8 at Sheraton Doha, under the patronage of Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada.

Faisal Al Zahrani, President of The International Public Relations Association Gulf Chapter (IPRA-GCC) stressed the conference hosted by Doha is an important step in IPRA-GC work.

“The International Public Relations Association is endeavouring to make the third Public Relations Regional Conference a prominent step and turning point in term of spreading the culture of public relations and polishing skills of the parties involved in the sector on the level of GCC,” he said.

Technical, media, public relations, financial and administrative committees have been set up to ensure the event enables participants to benefit from the conference and achieve its targets.

The event features sessions on ‘Opportunities and challenges that face public relations practitioners in light of modern technology’,  ‘National visions and conveying them to society categories’, ‘How leaderships look at the role of public relations in Arab World’, and ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’.

Six workshops will held on the first day. They include the role of public relations in energy crises management, basics of communication strategic plans development, administering and planning media campaigns on social responsibility, art of conferences and events organisation, ethical responsibility of public relations offices and effectiveness of social interaction tools in public relation’s plans. Experts and trainers of RADA Researches and Public Relations Co. will address the workshops.
