Qatari rider Saeed Al Sulaiti won the first race of the third round of Qatar Superstock 600 that took place at Losail International Circuit yesterday.
Saeed recorded his victory in the midst of a really busy weekend as he is also taking place in the Moto2 Championship as a wild card rider, together with fellow Qatari rider and wild card entrant Nasser Al Malki.
Al Sulaiti who took the Superpole, didn’t have a good start but he managed to lead the race from the second lap.
"I am very happy about the race, actually really happy with the whole weekend with Superstock and my rhythm was really good. I was a bit scared because I was jumping from Moto2 to Supertock and it is a totally different position and style, but I happy to adapt to it within a very short time," Al Sulaiti said.
"Many thanks to everyone that stands next to me and to Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Losail Circuit Sports Club for their continuous support," Al Sulaiti said.
Mashel Al Naimi had some problems with his bike and finished in second place.
The third place was won by Al Malki.
The 17-year old Abdullah Al Qubaisi put up an impressive effort to finish in the fourth position.
Trophies were presented by QMMF President, Abdulrahman Al Mannai and the LCSC General Manager and Vice-President Khalid Al Remaihi.
