DOHA: Qatar Exchange (QE) and Injaz Qatar yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaborations between the two organisations. The two organisations pledged to work together to collaborate in the fields of education, training and community development.
The MoU was signed by the CEO of Qatar Exchange, Rashid bin Ali Al Mansoori, and Sheikha Hanadi bint Nasser Al Thani, founder and chairperson of Injaz Qatar.
The agreement aims to allow youth and students to join training programmes and courses held by QE in the field of investment and financial culture. These courses help educate students in understanding the importance of the securities market as well as the benefits and risks associated with the investment therein.
The MoU also encourages QE experts to volunteer and provide educational awareness sessions during the events dedicated to school and university students which are organised by Injaz Qatar.
At a press conference held at the QE headquarters, Sheikha Hanadi stated that Injaz Qatar is very pleased to partner with Qatar Exchange during this period of exceptional growth and diversification of Qatar’s economy and said she looked forward to future collaborations in education and training. She described the MoU as the first agreement that includes a comprehensive training programme aimed at promoting financial and investment awareness as well as the spirit of entrepreneurship among Qatari youth belonging to all professions and backgrounds.
“Injaz’s mission and vision revolves around the linking between educational outputs and the investment market, and since QE is the cornerstone of the national investment market providing diversified investment opportunities, this MoU helps to enhance financial and investment culture among youth in order to achieve success and prosperity,” said Sheikha Hanadi.
Al Mansoori welcomed the signing of the agreement as a basis for close cooperation with Injaz Qatar and stated that it comes within the framework of the role played by Qatar Exchange in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030, adding that ‘our responsibility’ focuses on the human and economic development pillars through educating the next generation of youth and building a prosperous society.
Al Mansoori pointed out that this cooperation is a continuation and culmination of education and awareness efforts undertaken by QE in the local community. The Peninsula
