H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani yesterday said Qatar’s participation in the 15th GCC Joint Exhibition, which opens tomorrow in Sharjah is part of its commitment to enhance the GCC cooperation march, especially on the economic and trade level to achieve the aspired integration to realise the interests of GCC peoples.
The exhibition, under the theme ‘Made in the GCC’, aims to introduce companies and corporations in the region and shed light on encouraging businesses and give prominence to the GCC role in supporting small and medium projects.
It also aims to highlight encouragement to innovation and creativity, protection of consumer rights and provision of opportunities for GCC traders to market and introduce their products and increase the volume of trade exchange in addition to familiarising with investment and trade opportunities provided by the Gulf economy to foreign investors and marketing e-services pertaining to the business sector.
This year, the exhibition will focus on industry, trade, business, small and medium projects, construction and building, transport and aviation, energy, tourism, information, agriculture, investment, food security and oil and gas.
Many Qatari companies will display their products in the industry, trade, services and other sectors.
The expo will bring together top GCC personalities and businessmen, and investors and industrialists from the region and the world as it will provide an opportunity for businessmen to display their products, have contacts with GCC businessmen and consumers to learn about the progress the GCC industry has achieved.
It will feature more than 200 exhibitors from the Gulf.
The exhibition every two years in a GCC state aims to fulfil aspirations of young business initiators and owners of small and medium projects and provides them with the opportunity to display their products, introduce their services and meet businessmen, investors and consumers.
