Since the very young age Laiba has been showing inclination and interest in reading and writing. She started her effort to write small stories and phrases on pieces of papers and used glue on walls of her house. An ardent reader of books related fiction, science, religion, and biographies of prominent personalities, some of Laiba’s favourite authors are Enid Blyton, JK Rowling, Ann Frank, Roald Dhal, etc.
Laiba inherited her passion for reading from her grandfathers, KM Abdur Raheem and Mohammed Parakkadavu, who were ardent readers and social activists in GCC. The wholehearted support from her father Abdul Basit and mother Thasneem Mohammed has encouraged Laiba’s literary skills and she is planning to release her second book as part of this series soon.
