Qatar stocks close lower

Doha: Qatar Exchange index declined by 74.16 points, or 0.53 percent, when trading closed yesterday at 13,932.30 points.
The trading value fell to QR506.73m from QR628.22m registered on Tuesday.
The trading volume dropped to 10,715,401 shares from 4,932 transactions compared to 13,239,3790 shares from 6,495 transactions on Tuesday.
The market capitalisation dropped to QR741.84bn from Tuesday’s QR746.27bn.
Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone barring telecoms which gained 0.80 percent. Banks and financial services dropped -0.90 percent, consumer goods and services dropped -0.58 percent while insurance dropped -0.52 percent.
From the 43 listed companies, shares of 40 exchanged hands, from these 28 ended lower, 10 gained and two remained unchanged. 
In the region, Saudi Arabia’s stock market retreated further with the main index slid 1.4 percent. Dubai’s index fell 1.2 percent while Abu Dhabi’s bourse slipped 0.1 percent and Egypt’s main index edged down 0.4 percent.
