QSE index gained 48.33 points last week

Qatar Stock Exchange's (QSE) main index gained 48.33 points,  or 0.44 percent, during last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 10,989.76 points.
Trading value during the week decreased by 15.14 percent to reach QR1.36bn compared to QR1.60bn. Trading volume decreased by 9.6  percent to reach 44.58 million shares against 49.31 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 13.95 percent, to reach 16,826 transactions as compared to 19,553 transactions. Market cap rose by 0.43 percent to reach QR588.41bn as compared to QR585.89bnat the end of previous week.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value this week with 35.31 percent of the total traded value. Real estate sector accounted for 24.01 percent. Industries sector accounted for 14.05 percent and consumer goods and services sector accounted 11.20 percent.
Real estate sector led traded volume last week with 36.98 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 24.82 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 17.48 percent and industries sector accounted 10.21 percent. Banking and financial services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 37.01 percent of the total number of transactions. Real estate sector which accounted for 22.69 percent. Industries sector accounted for 15.40 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 10.55 percent. Of the 44 listed companies 19 ended last week higher, while 22 fell and three remained unchanged. Masraf Al Rayan led trading value during last week accounted for 9.18 percent of the total traded value. Barwa Real Estate accounted for 8.42 percent and Mazaya Qatar accounted for 8.19 percent, reports QNA.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE’s benchmark index dropped 45.85 points, or 0.42 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 10,989.76 points yesterday. The volume of shares traded increased to 9.03 million from 8.23 million on Wednesday and the value of shares added to QR306.48m from QR239.68m  Wednesday. Of the 44 companies listed on QSE, shares of 38 saw trading yesterday. From these 13 gained and 24 companies closed lower, remained one company unchanged. Indices of three sectors ended in green and remaining four sectors ended red yesterday.
