El Jaish Sports Club hosted “Shooot” awareness programme organised by Public Relations Department in association with Qatar Police Sports Federation recently.
More than 100 children participated in the safety awareness programme. The programme is intended to raise awareness among the children between 7–12 years of age and learn the traffic culture unifying football actions with traffic signs and signals.
The events were held in Ibn Khaldoun Independent Preparatory School for boys. Col Adil Ahmad Malullah, Asst Chairman of QPSF, and Abdul Khader Al Moghaiseb, Technical Manager of the childrens’ wing under the club, attended the events.
Shoot awareness programmes, highlighting the theme “through awareness achieve the goal”, were already held in Lekhwiya sports club, Sailiya sports club and Qatar Sports Club, where a large number of children participated in the event.
Col Malallah said that the programme was important as it is intended to inculcate the guidelines of traffic culture in the minds of the buds through entertainment activities. Al Moghaiseb expressed his pleasure in the huge participation of children in the event adding that such awareness programmes were very necessary in the Qatari community especially among the children.
The head of Media Studies section at Public Relations Department of Ministry of Interior Sheikha Al Anoud Al Thani said that the programmes will be held in Rayyan Sports club on March 1, Al Ahli Sports club on March 3 and in Messaimer club on March 4. She added that the campaign was confined to children to train football as well as educate traffic rules.
