Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. (AAB), the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus, concluded its third AAB Treasure Hunt in collaboration with the Public Parks Department of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment with the theme ‘Space Challenge: Win Back Mother Earth!’

The AAB Treasure Hunt 2019 is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to create awareness on environmental care, to promote the public parks in Qatar and to highlight road safety. AAB Treasure Hunt is not a road race as the winners were chosen based on the quickest amount of time spent in completing the challenges in the parks.

The event was met with great success with an increased number of participating teams with around 150 people participating in total.

The AAB Treasure Hunt Space Challenge gave everyone the opportunity to have fun while exploring five out of the 94 public parks in Qatar which was Al Wakrah Public Garden, Al Nuaija, Al Mamoura Family Park, Al Huwaila and Al Hitmi.

Aside from the challenging activities, the Space Challenge was an educational session as the teams solved brain teasers with quizzes and board activities related to the planets, geography and the environment. This initiative not only raises awareness about Qatar’s public parks and the environment as it also aims to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle for the residents of the country.

AAB as distributors of Toyota is committed to working towards clean energy in transportation which will lead to a cleaner environment and reduced harmful carbon emissions through its hybrid vehicles.

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has made a lot of effort and processes to revive and renovate existing parks and add new locations across Qatar that serve as a family hub with ample space for families to enjoy nature and for children to have safe play areas.

Participating teams were delighted to discover the well- equipped parks with sports facilities, children’s area and other amenities.

Yazan Mustafa, Chief Operating Officer, Commercial & Industrial Division, sent off the first batch of participants at the start of the treasure hunt. Prior to the announcement of the winners, results were verified by an independent committee.

Winners received valuable cash prizes for their effort with special prizes from Moteri Auto Care Centre for the successful winners of the Best Selfie and Best Video. The participants are looking forward to the next AAB Treasure Hunt and the new kind of challenges and fun that it will bring while discovering the public parks around Qatar.
