Doha, Qatar: As the Hajj season approaches, licensed tour operators in Qatar have significantly stepped up their awareness and preparation activities to ensure pilgrims are fully equipped for their journey to the holy sites in Makkah.

These efforts include a comprehensive training and guidance programme implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The programme covers essential religious aspects of Hajj, focusing on its objectives, meanings, pillars, obligations, and recommended practices. It aims to help pilgrims perform the rituals correctly and in accordance with Islamic teachings.

In addition to religious instruction, the programme emphasises spiritual and psychological preparation. Pilgrims are guided to appreciate the significance of Hajj and adopt appropriate conduct throughout the pilgrimage, reflecting patience, humility, and good character.

Speaking to Qatar TV, Hussein Aman Al Ali, Uhud Hajj Campaign Director, highlighted that understanding the pillars, duties, and Sunnah of Hajj is the top priority. He stressed the importance of performing Hajj as practiced by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and embodying his moral character, particularly by avoiding disputes and maintaining a spirit of peace and devotion during the pilgrimage.

Al Ali noted that adopting the Prophet’s moral character allows pilgrims to return spiritually renewed and forgiven, underscoring the deeper purpose of the journey.

For this season, a total of 27 licensed and approved Hajj campaigns have been authorized to serve pilgrims from Qatar. The Department of Hajj and Umrah has also provided a dedicated hotline (132) to handle inquiries and complaints, ensuring effective communication and support.

The ministry affirmed that these extensive preparations aim to enable pilgrims from Qatar to perform Hajj in a smooth and spiritually enriching environment, with high standards of comfort and services. These efforts also reflect ongoing coordination with relevant authorities in the Saudi Arabia to ensure a successful pilgrimage season.
