DOHA: Qatar Volunteers and Waseef have joined to raise awareness about heat prevention among low-income workers.
More than 100 members from Qatar Volunteers and Waseef employees distributed bottles of water and juice, clothes and hats to construction workers on site. Waseef, a real estate management, facilities and assets company, is sponsoring and supporting the campaign.
Khalifa Salman Almohanady, General Director, Support Services, Waseef, said, “Supporting and sponsoring the campaign comes within the framework of efforts exerted by the company to help workers and emphasise the target of the campaign represented in the humanitarian aid in this hot weather, and mitigate thirst and tiredness, in addition to giving them the sense of support to make them feel society is standing to their side”. Zehin Alam Merza, Manager of the campaign, said the campaign aims at alleviating sufferings and supporting workers during the summer months.
