Doha: Lekhwiya’s midfield star Yusef Msakni has expressed his excitement at signing a long term deal with the club.
The club revealed the deal back in June, but Msakni expressed his eagerness to stay with the Red Knights in an interview via the Lekhwiya website.
“I received offers from several clubs to move on, but I preferred to stay with Lekhwiya especially when the management showed faith in me with such a contract.”
Msakni was Lekhwiya’s top scorer last term with fourteen goals, his best return in his fourth season with the Red Knights.
With the former ES Tunis star tied to a long term contract, Lekhwiya will up their training ahead of their second friendly of preseason against Saudi giants Al Hilal.
