DOHA: The US Embassy has partnered with Qatar Students Association (website: www.qsa-us.net) to establish the first ever US Alumni Network for Qatar.
US Ambassador Dana Shell Smith announced the formation of the network at a reception held at her residence in honour of Qatari alumni on Wednesday.
“In recognition of the many contributions of our US alumni toward improving US-Qatari relations, and to provide a platform for furthering the dialogue between Americans and Qataris, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the first ever US Alumni Network for Qatar,” Ambassador Smith told attendees.
The US Alumni Network for Qatar will serve as a platform for Qatari alumni of US universities to share information with each other about volunteer opportunities, lectures and seminars, training workshops, career advice and mentoring opportunities, pursuing further study at American universities, and many other topics of interest.
