TOKYO: Tokyo stocks ended 1.35 percent lower Friday on profit-taking and despite yen weakness that was spurred by expectations of further easing measures from the Bank of Japan.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange closed down 122.14 points at 8,933.06, while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues was down 1.36 percent, or 10.19 points, at 741.23. (AFP)
