DOHA: Gulf International Services (GIS) yesterday announced its financial results for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2015 with net profit rising 5.2 percent to QR822.3m compared to same period previous year. Revenue for the period stood at QR3.3bn, showing a rise of 6.7 percent compared to same period last year.
The increase in revenue was aided by the drilling segment with full year contributions to revenue from two jack-up rigs and one lift boat which have been in operation for all of 2015 but only partly in 2014.
Compared to the last quarter, the group revenue decreased by QR0.1bn, or by 10.2 percent, mainly due to drop in drilling and catering segments revenue.
