DOHA: Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking (QFCHT) is taking part in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 18) which opened today.
The participation comes through a campaign on green humanity out of the foundation's keenness on achieving greater cooperation and coordination with the civil society bodies and institutions in order to reflect its humanitarian mission, broaden the base of community partnership and awareness concepts of human rights in general and human trafficking in particular.
The campaign includes two events. The first an educational day for the institution's staff to urge employees maintain the environment, to be held on Wednesday, while the second is a festival for bicycles under the name (Cycling for Humanity) to be held at Al-Sadd Sports Club to promote the role of sport and human rights in delivering the environmental message and support of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change.
The Foundation aims through its participation in this conference to introduce Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking, the scope of its work and its support of international efforts to get rid of the harmful effects of climate change as well as cooperation with concerned authorities in the state in order to achieve the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.
