PISQ Sports Department confers Gratitude Shield on Principal

Doha: The Sports Department of Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) took the initiative and conferred a Gratitude Shield upon Principal of PISQ, Nargis Raza Otho on November 19, 2020. 

Besides the sports teachers Majid Khan and Adnan Ashraf (Senior Boys Wing); Hira Aziz (Senior Girls Wing); Tariq Hameed and Timothy Healey (Primary Wing); Saira Faraz (KG Wing), the heads of all the respective wings of Pakistan International School were also present on the occasion.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. While throwing light on the purpose of the ceremony, Adnan Ashraf Sports Teacher Boys Wing said, “We are extremely indebted to the Principal of PISQ Nargis Raza Otho for the incessant support and guidance she rendered to the Sports Department especially during the trying period of COVID-19 pandemic.” 

“It was a hard time but we never felt panicked. We remained safe and survived with the peace of mind which was not possible without her personal interest in the well-being of PISQ staff,” he added. Then, Majid Khan Sports In-charge and Tariq Hameed Senior Sports Teacher presented the Gratitude Shield to the Principal.

In her address to the audience, the Principal said, “I want to thank Sports Teachers for the love they showed to me. We always worked together as a single unit. The whole staff cooperated with me and we successfully overcame this hard time.” 

“It was impossible without unity. I believe together we can achieve marvelous success. Owing to our collective efforts, we were able to serve the community in a better way. As a result, we earned a lot of respect and honour from the community. We will continue to work together and strive for the betterment of our community in times to come,” said the Principal. 

With her encouraging words, the programme came to an end. 

The hosts Adnan Ashraf and Hira Aziz thanked the guests for gracing the occasion with their presence.
