Fire erupts at Cairo’s main train station

CAIRO (AA) - A fire has erupted at Cairo’s main train station on Wednesday amid reports of fatalities.

Photos on social media showed a cloud of smoking rising from the building in central Cairo.

Local media said several people were killed and injured in the fire, without giving a specific toll.

It remains unclear the cause of the fire and Egyptian authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the blaze.
