BAGHDAD: Deputy Governor of Kirkuk Rakan Saeed al-Jubouri survived an assassination attempt when a roadside bomb targeted his motorcade on Wednesday morning southwest of Kirkuk.
A police source said that a bomb, planted in central Hawija 55 km southwest of Kirkuk, exploded as the convoy of deputy governor of Kirkuk passed, damaging some wheels without casualties.
The source added that one suspected was arrested of links with the incident. (QNA)
