Kabul: At least five Afghan national army soldiers were killed in the latest wave of violence.
Afghan Defence ministry spokesman, Gen Zahir Azimi, said the national army soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours.
Azimi did not disclose further information regarding the exact location and circumstances of the incident.
The anti-government armed militants including the Taliban rebels frequently use improvised explosive device (IED) as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition forces.
IEDs are one of the main contributors to civilian and Afghan national security forces casualties.
Karachi attacks leave four dead
Karachi: At least four people were killed yesterday in separate incidents of violence in Karachi, Dawn News reported.
Three bodies were recovered from Karachi’s Sarjani Northern Bypass.
The bodies bore torture marks and sustained multiple bullet wounds.
According to the police sources, all three of them were kidnapped before killing however the bodies have not been identified as yet.
One person was also shot dead near a hospital Chowrangi in Landhi. AGENCIES
