Emir receives greetings from leaders

The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with the King of Bahrain, H M Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.  
 

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received congratulatory phone calls from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, President Abdullah Gul of Turkey, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of his assumption of the reins of power in the country.

The Father Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani received telephone calls from King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, President Gul, President Mohammed Mursi of Egypt, President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki of Tunisia, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahraini Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, Najib Mikati, head of the caretaker government of Lebanon, Hamas leader Khalid Meshaal, and US Secretary of State John Kerry, who congratulated him on the occasion of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim’s assumption of the reins of power in the country. 

The King of Bahrain, H M Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, offerd greetings to the Emir on the occasion of taking the reins of power. The Bahraini monarch was seen off at Doha International Airport by H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. 

Meanwhile, the Emir has sent a cable of greetings to the Speaker of the Libyan General National Congress, Nouri Abu Sahmein, on his election as head of the parliament. The Emir extended his sincere wishes to the Speaker of the Libyan General National Congress.
