As a part of its commitment to safety, Total E&P Qatar regularly conducts mandatory defensive driving courses for all its employees. The day-long training in coordination with Mowasalat focuses on safe road behaviour and accident prevention.
Defensive driving enables motorists to identify hazards and through both theory and practical sessions, participants learn how to reduce driving risks, anticipate situations and make safe well-informed decisions.
“At Total we continously raise the awarness of all employees on safety issues being at work, at home or in the present case on the roads. These driving courses are one example amongst many others underlining our commitment to build a Safety Culture at Total. Building a safety culture means that we want each employee to be convinced that safety depends first of all on his or her individual behaviour each and every day of the year,” said Guillaume Chalmin (pictured), Managing Director of Total E&P Qatar and Group Representative.
