Eid Al Adha was celebrated in the country with traditional fervour yesterday. The Cultural Village at the Corniche marked the first day of Eid Al Adha with a host of colourful events, some of which highlighted key aspects of the Qatari culture and society. A highlight of the celebrations at the Cultural Village was the large presence of members of various expatriate communities. Most enjoyable was a dance performance by Qatari youth to the accompaniment of traditional drumbeats.
