DOHA: Qatar and the Republic of Guinea have signed an ‘Open Skies’ agreement. It offers both countries the right to operate unlimited number of passengers and cargo flights.
“After negotiations at Qatar Civil Aviation Authority headquarters in Doha, Qatar and Guinea concluded an initial air service agreement and a memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing an Open Skies policy and allowing national carriers in both countries to operate unlimited number of passenger and cargo flights, including full operations rights,” QCAA said yesterday.
Ibrahim Abdul Qadir Al Janahi, Vice Chairman of QCAA and Director of Air Safety Department, signed the agreement on behalf of Qatar. Kita KabasanOlaba, Director General of SOGEAC, the Guinean state enterprise in-charge of managing Conakry International Airport, signed the agreement on behalf of Guinea.
