Qatar jump three spots in FIFA rankings

Qatar have jumped three spots in the latest FIFA World Rankings, a significant improvement in October following a few weeks of slide.
Qatar, coached by Jorge Fossati, are ranked 88 following a hard-fought win against Syria in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game in Doha.
Fossati's side has 408 points, just a notch below Armenia (412) who are at 87. Kenya with 397 points are 89.
Qatar are ninth in Asia headed by Iran a South Korea.
Japan (45) are third, Australia fourth (48) Saudi Arabia fifth (56), Uzbekistan (62) sixth, the UAE (64) seventh and China (83) are in eighth place. Syria are in 10th spot in Asia.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Super Eagles have moved 10 places up in the November FIFA World ranking, to 50th.
Argentina remains top for November. Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium complete the top-5.
