Qatar’s most decorated hockey club, Wanderers celebrated India’s 67th Republic Day with gusto on Tuesday. A Three-a-Side quick-fire hockey tournament was held at their club house in Wakrah, with teams aptly names Safron, White, Orange and Green. Prizes were distributed by their senior members – Cyril Fernandes and Fabian Faleiro. The event was sponsored by Gulf Agency Qatar. Bosco Menezes, Brand Manager for the club gave a vote of thanks. The Wanderers hockey club was established in 1979 and since then it has been organising various tournaments. The Wanderers are known as the major hockey club in the country and has won the Qatar Hockey League several times.
